Admission information for graduate programs

Course in atmosphere-ocean and climate dynamics offers graduate programs for those who would like to study leading to master and doctor degrees, which normally take two and three years to complete, respectively. A bachelor (master) degree is required for the admission to the master (doctor) program. Applicant is required to take the entrance examination that consists of English language (English-Japanese and Japanese-English translation) and subject (math and physics) tests.

Each academic year starts on April 1 in Japan. It is common for international students to be enrolled as a research student in October and prepare him/herself with specialty and Japanese language studies for the formal enrollment in the next April. However, to start the school in October is also possible for the PhD course. For more information, please ask our secretariat either via regular mail or via E-mail.
