# Advanced Course in Atmospheric Physics and Chemistry 2 Credits

Course Objectives: Stratospheric environment is controlled by the interactions between atmospheric dynamics, chemistry and radiation. Tropospheric environment is changing due to the regional air pollution. This lecture will cover the dynamical and chemical processes of atmospheric trace gases that play an important role in the stratosphere and the troposphere. The subject to be discussed includes the stratospheric transport processes, the formation of the ozone layer, anthropogenic ozone depletion, the mechanism of the ozone hole, and the production of photochemical oxidants
Course Goals: To understand the basic concepts on the atmospheric dynamics, chemistry, and radiation that drive the variabilities in stratospheric ozone and tropospheric air quality.
